We’re proud to invest in the future generation of bright minds. Rising college costs have created big challenges for students and their parents. That's why we partnered with Scholarship America to introduce the ALEC Bright Future Scholarship Program. It's designed to support the academic dreams of young ALEC members while reducing the financial burden for them and their families. Encourage the future student in your life to apply for this exciting opportunity!
ALEC will give individual, non-renewable scholarships to seven deserving applicants:
(1) award for $5,000
(6) awards for $2,500
Eligibility Requirements:
- ALEC members aged 17-24
- Minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- High school seniors, high school graduates not currently enrolled in college, or college undergraduates
- Must plan to attend or currently attend an accredited two-or four-year college or vocational school for the full 2026-2027 academic year

When to apply:
Applications will be accepted starting March 2nd, 2026. The deadline for submission is May 4th, 2026. The scholarship winners will be selected in June and announced in July 2026.

At ALEC, we're proud to recognize and support students who are passionate, talented, and driven to excel both in and out of the classroom. By offering this scholarship opportunity, we continue to be invested in the financial well-being of our members and the future students in our community.
Applicants should demonstrate and articulate their current experiences, future goals, and overall vision for what they hope to gain from their chosen school, degree, or program. They should also highlight academic achievements, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and any interests beyond school.
