Job Summary:   Responsible for the overseeing and decision making for all technology and facility needs of the credit union.  Manage and supervise overall security and reliability of network, including all software, hardware and networking equipment. Maintain and update the main data processor software along with the vendor relationship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop technology growth of ALEC to include a yearly plan and a strategic five year plan
  • Create and maintain a budget after gaining appropriate senior management approval
  • Serve as Information Security Officer, including submitting an annual report to ALEC senior management and/or Board of Directors
  • Provide annual training to all ALEC staff on information security
  • Design, implement and continually evaluate the systems that interact with end users
  • Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines and equipment
  • Support and maintain ALEC’s network equipment, including Cisco Routers, ShoreTel Phones, and Microsoft Active Directory
  • Support and maintain Fiserv products, including Portico
  • Review and approve major contracts for computing and information technology services and equipment
  • Monitor and create different rules, programs, and procedures for different federal and state regulations such as GLBA
  • Supervise independent IT auditors on a yearly basis and arrange for presentation of findings to the board of directors
  • Prepare, test, and implement the IT portion of Disaster Recovery plans
  • Maintain telephone system
  • Manage IT projects and implement new systems
  • Manage GLBA and other IT regulatory responses
  • Train department staff
  • Supervise, support, and backup the ATM and facilities functions
  • Maintain professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors
  • Responsible for exceptional member service to every member, internal and external, every time by adhering to the ALEC Service Model
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Required:  Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business or related field    


  • Preferred: Minimum five years experience in IT and project management with a financial institution


  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to make decisions independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other credit union departments
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors on out-sourced engagements
  • Effective time and project management skills



Job Summary: Interacts with credit union members to accurately conduct all credit and debit transactions in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.  The incumbent will also develop and maintain account relationships, provide solutions, and resolve member problems through quality service and product knowledge while maximizing cross-selling opportunities. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet members with a smile in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
  • Perform routine member transactions, including, but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers and check cashing on credit union data processing system
  • Sell and process travelers cheques, savings bonds, Cashier’s checks, attraction tickets and gift cards
  • Process information pertaining to members’ accounts and route to proper department for processing
  • Provide in person, by telephone or mail such explanation as member authorizes concerning their account
  • Educate member on value added products and services and employ related cross-selling/service standards
  • Assist members in opening sub accounts
  • Daily opening and closing of terminal; accounting for assigned cash; balancing to terminal close report; remitting daily work to supervisor, and other support activities
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors



  • Required: High school graduate or general education degree (GED)



  • Preferred: One to three months related experience and /or training
