Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Marketing and Human Resources, this position is responsible for researching, planning, directing, and implementing all aspects of the credit union marketing program.  This position will be responsible for the supervision of marketing staff, the creative and professional design of credit union promotional deliverables, and the analytical research and reporting to support the marketing program.  This position will also be responsible for assisting the Vice President of Marketing and Human Resources in driving membership growth and developing new and existing sponsor relations. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the marketing team; includes hiring, performance evaluations, scheduling, training and meeting with staff regularly.
  • Development and execution of the annual marketing and business development plan through campaign development, implementation and market research.
  • Monitor the marketing budget and track expenses; approve expenses that are in budget; research, justify and request approval on expenses that are outside the approved budget for management review.
  • Design, develop and implement marketing programs, materials and delivery channels that will reflect a consistent brand and work to achieve overall credit union goals.
  • Work with designers, ad agencies, print companies and other outside agencies.
  • Provide quantitative feedback on effectiveness of marketing programs, delivery channels and other materials to the Vice President of Service and Sales.
  • Interact and communicate with all those impacted by promotions, new products, advertising campaigns, collateral material, etc., so that employees are up to date on credit union marketing programs.
  • Monitor competitorís products and services in the marketplace and provide recommendations on product/service enhancements.
  • Researches and proposes products and services which strengthen our presence at existing locations.
  • Develops marketing strategies, pricing structures, implementation plans and service guidelines for new ATM/facility placements.
  • Responsible for credit union informational sessions to members and potential members.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of the annual business development plan.
  • Assists business development efforts by participating in local and national sponsor company business development events.
  • Cultivates relationships with key company contacts to maintain ALECís position as a benefit to the companyís employees.
  • Conducts research assignments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a direct mail matrix program.
  • Web site development and maintenance that is consistent with overall credit union brand.
  • MCIF system management; use for target marketing, promotion tracking, ROI analysis and member research.
  • Publish various credit union literature such as newsletters, forms, etc.
  • Reviews and evaluates the performance of all marketing personnel. Provides leadership and training and may initiate disciplinary actions when needed.

Education:

  • Required: Bachelorís degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field.
  • Preferred: Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum 3 years coordinating the marketing and/or business development for a retail business or financial institution.
  • Preferred: 5+ years with a full-service financial institution, specializing in retail marketing management and market research.

Job Summary: Interacts with credit union members to accurately conduct all credit and debit transactions in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.  The incumbent will also develop and maintain account relationships, provide solutions, and resolve member problems through quality service and product knowledge while maximizing cross-selling opportunities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet members with a smile in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
  • Perform routine member transactions, including, but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers and check cashing on credit union data processing system
  • Sell and process travelers cheques, savings bonds, Cashierís checks, attraction tickets and gift cards
  • Process information pertaining to membersí accounts and route to proper department for processing
  • Provide in person, by telephone or mail such explanation as member authorizes concerning their account
  • Educate member on value added products and services and employ related cross-selling/service standards
  • Assist members in opening sub accounts
  • Daily opening and closing of terminal; accounting for assigned cash; balancing to terminal close report; remitting daily work to supervisor, and other support activities
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors

Education:

  • Required: High school graduate or general education degree (GED)

Experience:

  • Preferred: One to three months related experience and /or training

  Member Service Representative
 

Job Summary: Provide financial products and services to establish, retain and deepen relationships with credit union members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional member service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist and educate members in the opening of new deposit accounts, share certificate investments, and other credit union services
  • Meet with and educate members about consumer loan products
  • Actively cross-promote credit union products and services
  • Act as credit union representative for member inquiries, complaints and public relations
  • Maintain professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors
  • Take loan applications
  • Prepare loan documentation, schedule closing, and close consumer loans
  • Complete all membership/deposit account opening procedures
  • Work applicable sales leads from vendors and internal sources
  • Research and resolve problems on member accounts
  • Achieve minimum standards of sales goals
  • Represent credit union in various marketing and sponsor related activities
  • Monitor and report sales figures to the VP of Service and Sales
  • Support the marketing of the credit union and its products and services
  • Assist Teller Supervisor in opening and closing of Service Center
  • Assist Teller Supervisor in Service Center balancing activities, deposit taking, cash retrieval, etc
  • Maintain knowledge of credit union products, services, policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all credit union policies and procedures

Education:

  • Required:  High school diploma
  • Preferred:  Bachelors degree in business related field    

Experience:

  • Required:  Customer service and retail sales experience.  Knowledge of the financial industry      
  • Preferred:  Three years with a full service financial institution.  Knowledge of credit union products, service, and data processing system
