Marketing Specialist


 

Job Summary: This position will provide direct support to the Marketing Director in reaching department goals and strategies.  Responsible for initiating and assisting in creative, analytical and administrative aspects of executing annual marketing plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creative assistance for all marketing campaigns and branding efforts
  • Create and monitor email marketing campaigns
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills including demonstration skills to handle many assignments simultaneously
  • Demonstrate the ability to be an expert in forward thinking, market research, and problem-solving skills
  • Provides research support for the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing plans
  • Monitor all marketing collateral inventories (brochures, forms, newsletters, etc.)
  • Monthly paper and electronic statement management
  • Staff communication of all marketing programs
  • Coordinating, planning and communicating marketing events with credit union staff
  • Coordinate all multimedia communication activities
  • Maintain marketing record retention database
  • Act as support for the compilation of data to build the monthly marketing database
  • Act as support for the maintenance of the credit union’s website and social media channels
  • Create and run reports as necessary
  • Proofread and edit all marketing literature/disclosures
  • Maintains a professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors
  • Responsible for exceptional member service to every member, internal and external, every time
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Required:  Associate’s degree in marketing, business or related field OR equivalent related experience.
  • Preferred:  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field OR equivalent related experience.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum 2 years working in a retail business or financial institution in a marketing role.
  • Preferred: 3+ years with a  financial institution in a marketing role

Finance Specialist


 

Job Summary: Responsible for working with the Finance Manager in the areas of Financial Reporting, Financial and Ratio Analysis, Asset/Liability Management and Investments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the Aggregation/Assembly/Dissemination of CEO, BOD and ALCO Reports
  • Assists with departmental financial analysis and reporting of results to management.
  • Assists with the annual budget planning process including the presentation of reports for Management and Board review.
  • Update and process scenarios in ALM system on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain ALM software information monthly.
  • Contribute in the development and support of financial reports with an emphasis on high quality and accuracy.
  • Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
  • Assist in the analysis of financial data by comparing budgeted, actual and forecasted results.
  • Maintain investment due diligence documentation outlining purchase decisions and results.
  • Assist in the maintenance of smartALEC Finance and Operations Department pages.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors
  • Responsible for exceptional member service to every member, internal and external, every time by adhering to the ALEC Service Model

Education:

  • Required:  Associates degree in Accounting or related field

Network Specialist


Job Summary:  Maintains and supports ALEC’s IT infrastructure. This position will provide assistance to fellow employees through troubleshooting and PC maintenance. The incumbent will also develop and maintain IT documentation, provide solutions, and resolve technical issues with quality member service and product knowledge while maximizing uptime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Windows Updates and patch cycles using WSUS
  • Manage patches for third party applications including Flash, Java, and Reader using LANDesk software
  • Manage and order IT supplies and equipment
  • Provide end user computer support
  • Create and maintain Microsoft Visio network documentation
  • Provide support for ShoreTel VOIP system
  • Provide support for Cisco Routers
  • Create and manage computer builds
  • Maintain and create reports of hardware and software inventories
  • Create server builds and manage servers with Windows 2012 virtualization
  • Design and carry out independent projects
  • Facilities support as necessary
  • Other functions and duties as assigned
  • Maintains a professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors

 

Education:

  • Required: High school graduate or general education degree (GED), CCNA, MCSE
  • Preferred: College degree in MIS or equivalent. 

Experience:

  • Required: 5 years experience in an IT network support position

Member Service Representative


Job Summary: Provide financial products and services to establish, retain and deepen relationships with credit union members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional member service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist and educate members in the opening of new deposit accounts, share certificate investments, and other credit union services
  • Meet with and educate members about consumer loan products
  • Actively cross-promote credit union products and services
  • Act as credit union representative for member inquiries, complaints and public relations
  • Maintain professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors
  • Take loan applications
  • Prepare loan documentation, schedule closing, and close consumer loans
  • Complete all membership/deposit account opening procedures
  • Work applicable sales leads from vendors and internal sources
  • Research and resolve problems on member accounts
  • Achieve minimum standards of sales goals
  • Represent credit union in various marketing and sponsor related activities
  • Monitor and report sales figures to the VP of Service and Sales
  • Support the marketing of the credit union and its products and services
  • Assist Teller Supervisor in opening and closing of Service Center
  • Assist Teller Supervisor in Service Center balancing activities, deposit taking, cash retrieval, etc
  • Maintain knowledge of credit union products, services, policies and procedures

Education:

  • Required:  High school diploma
  • Preferred:  Bachelors degree in business related field

Experience:

  • Required:  Customer service and retail sales experience.  Knowledge of the financial industry
  • Preferred:  Three years with a full service financial institution.  Knowledge of credit union products, service, and data processing system

Teller


 

Job Summary: Interacts with credit union members to accurately conduct all credit and debit transactions in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.  The incumbent will also develop and maintain account relationships, provide solutions, and resolve member problems through quality service and product knowledge while maximizing cross-selling opportunities. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet members with a smile in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
  • Perform routine member transactions, including, but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers and check cashing on credit union data processing system
  • Sell and process travelers cheques, savings bonds, Cashier’s checks, attraction tickets and gift cards
  • Process information pertaining to members’ accounts and route to proper department for processing
  • Provide in person, by telephone or mail such explanation as member authorizes concerning their account
  • Educate member on value added products and services and employ related cross-selling/service standards
  • Assist members in opening sub accounts
  • Daily opening and closing of terminal; accounting for assigned cash; balancing to terminal close report; remitting daily work to supervisor, and other support activities
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors

Education:

  • Required: High school graduate or general education degree (GED)

Experience:

  • Preferred: One to three months related experience and /or training
