Marketing Manager


Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Marketing and Human Resources, this position is responsible for researching, planning, directing and implementing all aspects of the credit union marketing department. This position will be responsible for the supervision of marketing staff, the creative and professional design of credit union promotional deliverables and the research and reporting to support the marketing program. This position will also be responsible for assisting the Vice President of Marketing and Human Resources in driving membership growth and developing new and existing sponsor relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creative assistance for all marketing campaigns and branding efforts
  • Create and monitor email marketing campaigns
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills including demonstration skills to handle many assignments simultaneously
  • Demonstrate the ability to be an expert in forward thinking, market research, and problem-solving skills
  • Provides research support for the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing plans
  • Monitor all marketing collateral inventories (brochures, forms, newsletters, etc.)
  • Monthly paper and electronic statement management
  • Staff communication of all marketing programs
  • Coordinating, planning and communicating marketing events with credit union staff
  • Coordinate all multimedia communication activities
  • Maintain marketing record retention database
  • Act as support for the compilation of data to build the monthly marketing database

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a direct mail matrix program
  • Web site development and maintenance that is consistent with overall credit union brand.
  • Publish various credit union literature such as newsletters, forms, etc.
  • Reviews and evaluates the performance of all marketing personnel. Provides leadership and training and may initiate disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Travel to local and business development efforts to drive membership growth.† Up to 10% travel in position.

Education:

  • Required: Bachelorís degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field.

Experience:

  • Required:†Minimum†3 years coordinating the marketing and/or business development for a retail business or financial institution.
  • Preferred: 5+ years with a full-service financial institution, specializing in retail marketing†management and market research.

Marketing Specialist


Job Summary: This position will provide direct support to the Marketing Director in reaching department goals and strategies.† Responsible for initiating and assisting in creative, analytical and administrative aspects of executing annual marketing plans.

Fraud Prevention†Specialist


Job Summary:† Assists the Director of Risk Management in the creation and administration of the credit union's fraud awareness and prevention program. Duties will encompass the monitoring, investigating, training, communicating and reporting of all fraud positions of ALEC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements the credit union's fraud prevention, detection and investigation strategies
  • Manages investigations of cross-department fraud situations that involve deposit account, consumer lending or real estate lending relationships and reports findings and recommendations to management through written reports.
  • Works with management to establish mitigation efforts are taken on any and all significant fraud issues.
  • Responsible for understanding online and call center authentication tools and strategies and maintaining an† in-depth understanding of all forms of electronic payments such as ACH, Wire and RDC.
  • Implements inter-department fraud reporting procedures.
  • Recognizes opportunities for addressed fraud issues, risks and exposures. Works jointly with the training department to educate staff on fraud prevention awareness.
  • Establishes internal and external investigative procedures to ensure department tasks are documented and revised as needed and workflows are developed for fraud management.
  • Works with Risk area to oversee and guide investigators to ensure efficient and effective investigations are conducted on fraudulent activities.
  • Communicates with management to ensure staff is kept abreast of investigative activities and processes as it relates to fraud.
  • Creates and retains case management records for all investigations, suspicious activity, incidents and events. Develops incident, fraud loss and trend analysis reporting for distribution to management.
  • Acts as the credit union's BSA Officer. Oversees preparation and filing of timely regulatory reporting requirements of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs). Submits summary reports as requested.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information and controls. Protects all credit union sensitive information and materials within the scope of the department functions.
  • Works daily with the Internal Audit and Compliance teams to maintain the controls needed to protect the assets of the credit union.

Education:

  • Required: Associate's degree in business or related field or equivalent related experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a business field.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum 2 years of working in a financial institution setting
  • Preferred: Experience working in an analytical setting and/or in a fraud prevention/reporting position.

Member Service Representative


Job Summary: Provide financial products and services to establish, retain and deepen relationships with credit union members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional member service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist and educate members in the opening of new deposit accounts, share certificate investments, and other credit union services
  • Meet with and educate members about consumer loan products
  • Actively cross-promote credit union products and services
  • Act as credit union representative for member inquiries, complaints and public relations
  • Maintain professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors
  • Take loan applications
  • Prepare loan documentation, schedule closing, and close consumer loans
  • Complete all membership/deposit account opening procedures
  • Work applicable sales leads from vendors and internal sources
  • Research and resolve problems on member accounts
  • Achieve minimum standards of sales goals
  • Represent credit union in various marketing and sponsor related activities
  • Monitor and report sales figures to the VP of Service and Sales

Teller


Job Summary: Interacts with credit union members to accurately conduct all credit and debit transactions in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures. †The incumbent will also develop and maintain account relationships, provide solutions, and resolve member problems through quality service and product knowledge while maximizing cross-selling opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet members with a smile in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
  • Perform routine member transactions, including, but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers and check cashing on credit union data processing system
  • Sell and process travelers cheques, savings bonds, Cashierís checks, attraction tickets and gift cards
  • Process information pertaining to membersí accounts and route to proper department for processing
  • Provide in person, by telephone or mail such explanation as member authorizes concerning their account
  • Educate member on value added products and services and employ related cross-selling/service standards
  • Assist members in opening sub accounts
  • Daily opening and closing of terminal; accounting for assigned cash; balancing to terminal close report; remitting daily work to supervisor, and other support activities
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors

Education:

  • Required: High school graduate or general education degree (GED)

Experience:

  • Preferred: One to three months related experience and /or training
