How can I conduct my credit union business?

You can conduct all of your ALEC transactions from the comfort of your home, car, over the phone, or in-person.

When visiting an ALEC Service Center, we kindly ask you to adhere to CDC guidelines:
  • Face coverings. Face coverings are optional in ALEC Service Centers.
  • Social distancing. Please adhere to social distancing protocol as required by the CDC. Floor markers are present for your convenience.
  • Hand sanitizer. We have hand sanitizer available for your use when entering the Service Center.

If your ALEC Visa® Credit card is lost or stolen, call 800.449.7728 to report it immediately. Your card will then be blocked from any future fraudulent transactions.

If your ALEC Debit card is lost or stolen, call 800.472.3272 to report it immediately. Your card will then be blocked from any future fraudulent transactions.

What is ALEC doing to protect members and employees?

ALEC continues to take proactive steps to protect the health and safety of our members and employees.

  • We are continuing to wipe down all ATMs, drive-thru machines (ITMs) and high-touch areas on a regular basis.
  • We have social distancing floor markers at all Service Centers and in our Gurnee headquarters. Employees are also complying with social distance guidelines.
  • We have plexiglass guards in front of all teller windows at the Service Centers and in all offices.
  • All ALEC educational events have been scheduled as webinars until further notice. Please see the ALEC Educational Events page for the most updated schedule.
  • We are continuing to monitor the health of our employees and will send employees home who are feeling ill.
How do I enroll in Online Banking or download the Mobile App?

How do I avoid Coronavirus financial scams?

Please be aware of fraudulent Coronavirus scams that wish to steal your sensitive and personal account information. Watch out for odd telephone caller IDs, emails, texts or websites that look like real companies and ask for critical information such as SSN, account numbers, login username and password information, credit or debit card numbers and PIN numbers. Are my ALEC accounts insured?

Rest assured, ALEC has been and continues to be a strong financial institution and your funds are secure. All ALEC accounts are insured up to $250,000 each by American Share Insurance (ASI). This means that American Share insures each and every account of an individual member up to $250,000 no matter how many accounts you hold. Go to American Share Insurance (ASI) for more information.
