Member Relations Representative

Provide financial products and services to establish, retain and deepen relationships with credit union members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional member service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist and educate members in the opening of new deposit accounts, share certificate investments, and other credit union services.

Meet with and educate members about consumer loan products.

bullet

Actively cross-promote credit union products and services.

bullet

Act as credit union representative for member inquiries, complaints, and public relations.

 

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Take loan applications

bullet

Prepare loan documentation, schedule closing, and close consumer loans.

bullet

Complete all membership/deposit account opening procedures.

bullet

Work applicable sales leads from vendors and internal sources.

bullet

Research and resolve problems on member accounts.

bullet

Achieve minimum standards of sales goals.

bullet

Represent credit union in various marketing and sponsor related activities.

bullet

Monitor and report sales figures to the VP of Business Development.

bullet

Support the marketing of the credit union and its products and services.

bullet

Maintain professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors.

bullet

Maintain knowledge of credit union products, services, policies and procedures.

bullet

Assist branch supervisor in opening and closing of branch.

bullet

Assist branch supervisor in branch balancing activities, deposit-taking, cash retrieval, etc.

Other duties as assigned

Mortgage Loan Underwriter

Review first and second mortgage requests to analyze for credit quality and program acceptance. Approve mortgage loan requests consistent with internal and investor guidelines. Utilize automated underwriting systems. Assist with all aspects of loan processing in addition to general office management.

Analyze new applications, input data in LOS and generate initial disclosures

Approve first and second mortgage loans requests

bullet

Organize and monitor loan files to ensure timely processing

bullet

Interface/correspond directly with credit union business partners

bullet

Utilize automated underwriting systems – DU and LP

bullet

Perform post closing functions – insure file integrity

bullet

Submit loan files to investor for approval

bullet

Assist Loan Officers with loan fulfillment

bullet

Assist Home Equity underwriting and quality control

bullet

Audit Functions and duties as assigned

Qualification/Requirements: Four year degree from an accredited university preferred. Minimum two years experience in related industry. Demonstrated ability to perform analysis of loan requests to include: credit analysis, income computation, collateral assessment and capacity to repay obligation. Ability to organize work flow, prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and members. Knowledge of various credit union products, services, policies and procedures. Basic knowledge of FNMA and FHLMC secondary market requirements, and operating knowledge of secondary market automated underwriting systems (Loan Prospector and Desk Top Underwriter).

Teller

Interacts with credit union members to accurately conduct all credit and debit transactions in Compliance with established credit union policies and procedures. The incumbent will also develop and maintain account relationships, provide solutions, and resolve member problems through quality service and product knowledge while maximizing cross-selling opportunities.
